Job summary

One Call is seeking a Software Engineer for a remote role. You will design, code, test, and support software used by internal teams and customers. You will work with business analysts and product managers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budgets.

This entry-level position emphasizes proficiency in SDLC methodologies, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Experience with end-to-end SDLC methods (waterfall, agile).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support.
• Follows One Call SDLC Standards.
• Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes/modifies logic.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software.
• Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
• Ensures system improvements are implemented successfully.
• Demonstrates understanding of One Call systems and workers' comp industry.
• Participates in planning and analysis phases of SD projects.
• Translates requirements into product designs and writes specs.
• Suggests technical alternatives and improves processes.
