Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems in Chantilly, VA, seeks a Software Developer intern for a 10-week summer program. You will contribute to basic software development using Python, JavaScript, and related tools, and collaborate with a remote team.

This internship requires full-time student status for Fall 2027, pursuing CS/Engineering/Math, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for a secret clearance. Compensation ranges per hour and includes opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled full-time in Fall 2027 pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
• Majors: Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related field
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027
• U.S. citizenship required
• Clearance to start (Secret)
• Java or C# or C/C++ knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using Python, JavaScript and other tools
• Use GitLab for code management, bug tracking, testing and production push
• Research and solve problems with minimal supervision
• Create/update documentation/instructions as directed
• Collaborate effectively with a remote virtual team
