You'll work with IDS/IPS, SIEM, and firewall data, support incident response, and collaborate with senior analysts to implement countermeasures. A passion for cyber security and willingness to learn are essential.

The position is remote and open to Hawaii/Guam residents, with US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of cyber security concepts and threat types.
• Willing to work in a 24x7 SOC with on-call rotations.
• Security+ certification within 6 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IDS/ADS and SIEM logs to identify threats.
• Assist in incident response as first-line analyst.
• Communicate alerts to IT, Network, or Security groups.
• Assist in implementing countermeasures and controls.
• Recommend improvements to policies for operational efficiency.
