Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking an entry‑level Remote Sensing Technician to join our Geospatial Team in Denver. The role involves sensor operation, data processing, and reporting for airborne mapping missions with 30–60 days of travel at a time.

Position: Remote Sensing Technician is part of the Geospatial Team. The role involves sensor operation, data processing, and reporting for airborne mapping missions. Domestic and international travel is required. This is an entry‑level position seeking individuals with critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to excel.

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must already have work authorization in the country where the job is located. Travel requirement: 30–60 days at a time for project assignments, both domestic and international.

What You Will Do

  • Download, process, edit, and troubleshoot collected sensor data in the field.
  • Set up and operate ground GPS base stations and perform flight planning.
  • Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sensor equipment on the ground and in flight.
  • Ensure safe and secure use of company equipment.
  • Complete field logs as required.

What You Will Bring

  • Desire to learn and contribute to a dynamic operational team.
  • Understanding of computer hardware.
  • Understanding of Geographic Information Systems.
  • U.S. citizenship; valid U.S. passport and willingness to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as necessary.
  • Willingness to undergo pre‑employment verification and drug screening.
  • Willingness to work a rotational schedule with travel 30 to 90 days and 20+ days off.
  • Land Survey experience is a plus.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED or related experience.
  • Data Acquisition & Processing: participate in ground and flight operations, including mission planning, execution, briefing, debriefing, communications, and safety.
  • Ensure proper data collection for accuracy and quality.
  • Experience with bathymetric or hydrographic data is a plus.
  • Experience with Leica LSS, MissionPro, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Qimera, Global Mapper, QINSy, HYPACK, Edgetech Discover, TerraSolid, and SonarWiz.
  • Strong working knowledge of geomatics and mapping concepts.
  • Working knowledge of aerial acquisition systems preferred.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; provide constructive feedback to support goals.
  • Previous Land Surveying experience is a plus.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range: $24.57 — $30.72 USD
