Job summary

Providence California Regional Services is seeking a Senior Utilization Management Assistant for a REMOTE Per Diem role with 8-hour day shifts. You will support the Care Management team in coordinating patient care and perform complex tasks as part of the utilization management process.

Minimum 5 years in hospital/clinical settings and strong customer service and clerical skills are required; EPIC and ADT access experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years hospital, clinical setting or healthcare related field.
• 3 years customer service experience.
• 3 years clerical and computer experience.
• 3 years knowledge of insurance billing and managed care.
• Some college coursework or HS diploma or GED equivalent preferred, esp. Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework.
• Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework preferred.
• CHAA or HS diploma/GED with some college coursework preferred, esp. Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance.
• Within 6 months of hire: CHAA (California).
• 3 years EPIC Case Management and ADT Patient Access.

• Work closely with healthcare team to perform complex tasks related to assessment and management of patients.
• Support the utilization management activities and administrative tasks as needed.
