Job summary

24-MAG LLC is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to evaluate AI-generated code, craft challenging problems, and provide expert feedback on architecture, debugging, and correctness.

You will analyze system design, assess scalability and maintainability, and create high-quality reference solutions and test cases. This is an independent contractor, fully remote engagement, with strong emphasis on clear written communication and real-world engineering judgment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience at a top-tier tech company.
• Recent experience within approximately the past 7 years.
• Strong system design and software architecture expertise.
• Excellent code-review and debugging skills.
• Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly in writing.
• Experience developing or reviewing production-grade software systems.
• Ability to create rigorous coding problems, reference solutions, and test cases.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Undergraduate degree from a highly ranked university.
• Candidates based in English-speaking countries are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code for correctness, quality, maintainability, and design.
• Identify bugs, logical errors, poor abstractions, and implementation weaknesses.
• Assess edge cases and constraints handling in solutions.
• Evaluate code quality against professional software engineering standards.
• Distinguish functionally correct solutions from architectural or maintainability issues.
• Create challenging software engineering and coding problems.
• Develop high-quality reference solutions demonstrating robust engineering practice.
• Design comprehensive test cases covering expected behaviour, edge cases, and failure conditions.
• Apply algorithms and data structures appropriately to problem requirements.
• Ensure tasks test advanced engineering capability and not just syntax knowledge.
• Evaluate system design and architecture, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and trade-offs.
• Provide clear debugging methodology and explanations.
