Job summary

Philo is seeking a Head of Social Media to own the organic social strategy, editorial planning, and platform-native content across entertainment and culture. You will craft short-form video content, oversee campaigns, and ensure Philo’s voice stays confident, approachable, and culturally aware.

You’ll partner with Marketing, Design, Legal, and external creators to keep our social presence timely and authentic. The role demands hands-on filming/editing, strong writing, and a passion for trends.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in social media, content creation, or related fields.
• Proven experience leading organic social strategy and editorial planning.
• Strong hands-on skills in filming, editing, and design.
• Fluency in short-form video on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
• Portfolio showing engagement-driven content across platforms.
• Experience with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own organic social strategy, editorial calendar, and channel approach.
• Create and edit platform-native content across video and graphics.
• Develop campaigns around programming priorities and cultural moments.
• Maintain Philo’s social voice as confident, approachable, and culturally aware.
• Manage influencer partnerships, briefs, and performance learnings.
• Oversee community management and moderation across channels.
