Job summary

Frazier & Deeter is seeking a seasoned State and Local Tax (SALT) Sales Tax Consulting Senior Manager to grow and lead our dynamic SALT practice in the U.S. This role emphasizes multi-state tax expertise, strategic client service, and leadership to advance careers within a rapidly expanding public accounting firm.

The ideal candidate has strong technical SALT knowledge, proven client service, and a drive for business development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
7+ years of progressive SALT tax consulting experience.
CPA/JD/CMI/EA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver sales & use tax services including registrations and tax compliance, taxability decision matrix, voluntary disclosures, tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, drafting client correspondence, nexus studies, refund recovery studies, and assisting clients with handling state sales tax audits.
Demonstrate understanding of complex tax and accounting concepts and apply expertise to client situations.
Serve as a thought leader in the F&D SALT practice and stay current on developments impacting SALT clients.
Participate in staff recruiting and supervise, mentor and develop staff level team members.
Play a key role in new business generation and expanding the client base within F&D service groups by identifying client needs and service offerings.
Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency with tax software and technology.
Attend professional development and training seminars regularly.
