Job summary

WRA, an employee-owned environmental consultancy, is seeking a Senior Regulatory Permitting Specialist to lead permitting strategies for critical infrastructure and development projects in California's Central Valley and Foothills.

You will collaborate with Principals, Directors, and Executive leadership to deliver multifaceted regulatory projects, mentor staff, and engage with clients and regulators. Occasional on-site field work and travel within California are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, engineering, policy, or related field.
At least 10 years of professional experience in consulting.
Experience preparing and consulting on regulatory consultations (e.g., 401/404/1600 LSAA).
Proven experience building and managing across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong leadership and project management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead permitting strategies and schedules for projects in California's Central Valley and Foothills.
Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary teams and consultants.
Oversee permit applications and manage scopes of work and change orders.
Identify risks and communicate with Principal-level staff.
Mentor early-career professionals on regulatory processes and project management.
