Job summary

Hudl is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our North American Sports product team. You will own end-to-end quality, shaping testing strategies and automation to deliver reliable software for coaches and analysts.

As the testing expert, you will mentor teammates, drive high standards, and collaborate with Engineering, Product and Design. Remote work is possible within the US; base salaries are disclosed below.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing experience with hands-on API, backend and data-heavy systems, plus front-end validation.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks like Playwright and languages like Python or TypeScript.
• Track record of leadership, owning quality for a squad and reducing production risk.
• Ability to use AI tools for test case creation, failure diagnosis and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives by building risk-based testing strategies and driving quality discussions.
• Test across the stack: UI, APIs, backend services and data pipelines at scale.
• Automate with intent using Playwright and scripting to maintain reliable checks.
• Mentor teammates, raise quality standards, and influence team thinking on quality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Design; contribute to hiring.
