Job summary

Creative Information Technology Inc (CITI) is seeking a Sr Quality Assurance Consultant for a remote role serving the State of Maryland. The candidate will lead QA activities across the software life cycle, develop QA plans, and ensure compliance with accessibility and security standards.

The position requires 5+ years of software testing experience, including automated testing, performance testing, and WCAG 2.1 conformance using NVDA or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent testing experience.
• 5+ years creating and executing automated test procedures.
• 5+ years of software testing across multiple projects (integration and acceptance).
• Experience with verification, validation, software metrics, and life cycles.
• Experience testing database interfaces in multi-release environments.
• Experience developing and executing test cases for unit, UAT, interoperability, SI, and performance testing.
• Experience managing system test and acceptance processes with stakeholder input.
• Familiarity with testing accessibility WCAG 2.1 Levels A/AA and associated documentation.

Responsibilities

• Determine resources required for quality control.
• Maintain quality throughout the software life cycle.
• Develop software quality assurance plans.
• Establish processes for evaluating software and related documentation.
• Participate in reviews to determine quality.
• Analyze and improve SQA processes and metrics.
• Develop quality standards.
• Design and execute IT software tests and evaluate results for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare test scripts and documentation.
• Test performance using tools like Mercury LoadRunner.
• Design test data and evaluate security within systems.
• Review results and conformance to design.
• Test website compliance with WCAG 2.1 via NVDA.
