Job summary

Leidos SES is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to support shared software platforms across Ports & Borders and Aviation. This senior individual contributor will be embedded with the Enterprise Products engineering team, partnering with cybersecurity leadership, software, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.

The role requires translating requirements into actionable security controls across architecture, software development, and deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, CE, SE, IS or related tech with 8+ years of experience.
Hands-on product security, application security, or DevSecOps security experience.
Experience integrating security into the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Serve as a hands-on product security engineer for Enterprise products with cross-functional teams.
Translate policies and customer requirements into actionable security requirements and backlogs.
Perform threat modeling, security reviews, and code/configuration reviews.
Design and improve automated security controls in CI/CD pipelines (SAST, SCA, secret scanning, container scanning).
Define secure configurations for Linux, Kubernetes, containers, and databases.
Develop hardened baselines using DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and industry practices; automate where possible.
Assess vulnerabilities, provide remediation guidance, and verify actions.
Support authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and audit controls.
