Job summary

Fujifilm Holdings America Corporation is seeking a senior counsel to lead privacy, data protection, and AI program compliance across multiple business functions.

This role reports to the Chief Litigation, Employment & Privacy Counsel and partners with Privacy Officer, Data Governance, IS, and legal teams to navigate state, federal, and international privacy requirements in North America, South America, and Europe.

Qualifications

  • JD degree and active U.S. state bar admission required.
  • Extensive experience counseling on data privacy and security matters.
  • Deep understanding of CPRA, HIPAA, GDPR and related regulations.
  • Proven track record drafting and negotiating AI/privacy/security contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on data privacy and protection law for Fujifilm attorneys and business teams.
  • Advise on U.S. and global data protection laws, including data collection, disclosures, consent and related issues.
  • Collaborate with privacy and security teams to strengthen the privacy program and reduce risk.
  • Support PIAs/DPIAs, vendor risk reviews, and data mapping efforts with Data Governance teams.
  • Develop privacy training and awareness initiatives for employees.
  • Negotiate AI, privacy and data security terms in contracts with partners and vendors.
  • Provide guidance on incident response and investigations involving data breaches or unauthorized access.
  • Support AI governance, regulatory developments, and risk assessment for new products.
