UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Network Detection & Response Engineer to own and enhance the enterprise NDR platform. You will design sensors, pipelines, and dashboards, ensuring timely alerting for SOC and Incident Response teams.

You’ll develop scripts, rules, and content packs in response to stakeholder needs while maintaining platform reliability. The role requires 4+ years in network engineering or information security, with hands-on NDR tech experience and Linux CLI proficiency.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED
• 4+ years of combined experience in network engineering and/or information security
• 3+ years with enterprise NDR technologies (e.g., Corelight, Zeek, Suricata, ExtraHop, Darktrace)
• 3+ years with network protocols and architecture (TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, routing/switching)
• 1+ years administering Linux systems from the command line
• Participate in an on-call rotation for availability and incident response

Mansioni

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise NDR sensors and pipelines
• Identify and remediate network visibility gaps using Zeek/Suricata logs and dashboards
• Collaborate with Network Engineering and application teams to onboard new segments
• Build platform observability using Python, REST APIs, and time series databases
• Create and modify Zeek scripts and Suricata rules based on requests
• Define SLIs/SLOs and documentation for NDR reliability
• Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows and automate tasks
