Job summary

Synthires is seeking senior biologists and life scientists for a remote hourly contract to help advance frontier AI models in life sciences. You will evaluate scientific reasoning, develop reference solutions, and design research-level benchmarks based on your expertise.

Required: PhD in a life science, senior research experience, deep specialization, hands-on LLM work, and excellent writing/analytical skills. Must be based in the United States.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular or Cell Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Neuroscience, or a related life science.
• Senior research experience as a faculty member, principal investigator, staff or senior scientist, or equivalent.
• Deep specialization in at least one life science area (e.g., molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics, neuroscience).
• Hands-on experience with large language models and evaluating scientific reasoning.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
• Must be based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate life sciences tasks and AI outputs for scientific accuracy and reasoning.
• Write precise problem specifications and rigorous reference solutions.
• Develop challenging research problems and benchmarks in your specialty.
