Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Americas for ABB Electrification Service (ELSE). You will advise on complex commercial contracts, compliance and integrity, disputes, employment matters, and strategic transactions, translating legal risk into options that support growth across jurisdictions.

The role reports to Division General Counsel ELSE and offers remote work with Eastern Time alignment; collaboration with global teams and shared matter ownership as part of ABB's Legal & Integrity

Qualifications

• JD required with active bar admission in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years of in-house or law firm experience supporting industrial, engineering, technology, construction, or services businesses across multiple legal disciplines and jurisdictions in a multinational company.
• Ability to lead collaboratively with autonomy; partner with various counsel; manage competing priorities and advise senior stakeholders under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex commercial contracts, compliance and integrity, disputes, employment matters, and strategic transactions across the Americas.
• Draft, review, and negotiate diverse customer, supplier, service, subcontractor, channel partner, and technology agreements; design scalable contract management processes.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, settlements, and external counsel; provide deal structuring and post-closing integration support for M&A and restructurings.
