Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver technology projects from initiation through closure, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality. This remote contract role requires coordinating with sponsors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive project success using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in project management, strong communication, and governance experience, with ability to manage large engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in project management, including large engineering projects
• Experience managing projects through full lifecycle
• Experience developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations
• Knowledge of governance, risk management, issue management, and change control processes
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planisware, or similar
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation through closure
• Develop project charters, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and schedules
• Monitor plans, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and changes
• Communicate status to stakeholders, PMOs, and steering committees
• Coordinate resources and staffing with managers
• Ensure delivers meet governance standards
• Facilitate risk mitigation, issue resolution, and change management
• Track financials and recovery plans
• Define and realize project benefits and business value
• Contribute to process improvements
• Lead closeout activities with leadership
