Job summary

APV is seeking a Senior Security Analyst/ISSO to provide advanced cybersecurity, risk management, and system authorization support to DHS, leading ATO and reauthorization cycles, continuous monitoring, and incident response coordination.

This role applies the DHS and NIST frameworks to HR systems handling high-sensitivity data, drafts SAP artifacts, mentors staff, and prepares executive briefings for DHS leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years in cybersecurity, risk management, and federal IT compliance.
• Experience leading ATO and reauthorization cycles with SSP/SAR/POA&M.
• Hands-on with SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint protection.
• Knowledge of DHS and NIST frameworks, FISMA, and federal directives.

Responsibilities

• Lead ATO lifecycle and security documentation for HC systems.
• Operate SIEM and vulnerability management programs.
• Oversee cloud security in AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
• Coordinate with DHS Privacy Office and leadership for risk decisions.
• Mentor ISSO staff and deliver executive-grade briefings.
