Job summary

The American Institutes for Research (AIR) seeks a Senior Quantitative Researcher to lead rigorous evaluations for the CMS Innovation Center (CMMI) within our Healthcare Innovations team. You will apply quasi-experimental designs, Medicare/Medicaid data analyses, and health data science to advance evidence and improve program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent with several years in evaluation research and leadership.
• Experience managing task/workstreams on CMMI model evaluations.
• Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid data and health policy.

Responsibilities

• Supports business development for CMS and CMMI, including capture planning and proposal development.
• Leads complex evaluations of Medicare payment and service delivery models, ensuring quality and client relations.
• Provides technical leadership for evaluations, including quasi-experimental designs and data analyses.
• Coaches and manages staff to promote development and deliver on big federally funded projects.
• Fosters an inclusive environment with diverse perspectives.
