Job summary

Riot Games in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the League of Legends Bots team. You will design, implement, and maintain bot systems, applying game AI, ML tech, and engine features to delight players worldwide.

Hybrid work requires 1–2 onsite days at the LA office with global collaboration across Sydney and China. You will mentor others, own complex initiatives from design to delivery, and partner with designers, engineers, and product teams to build compelling bot

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in the game industry.
• 3+ years of C++ development experience in a production environment.
• Mandarin proficiency for technical collaboration with international partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems using traditional game AI, ML tech, and proprietary engine technologies.
• Collaborate with game designers, engineers, and product partners to translate player needs into bot experiences.
• Own complex technical initiatives from design through delivery, and mentor teammates.
• Work closely with global teams, including Sydney and China.
