Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Programmer to lead enterprise web applications and full‑stack solutions for a long‑term DoD program. This fully remote role within the continental United States prefers candidates in the Eastern time zone and offers technical leadership plus hands‑on engineering.

You will mentor engineers, drive SDLC activities, design scalable architectures, and integrate with SharePoint, Active Directory, and enterprise APIs while utilizing .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise/full‑stack environments.
• Active Secret clearance required for program access and DoD work.
• CompTIA Security+ (DoD IAT Level II) certification.
• Microsoft programming certification(s) preferred.
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in languages such as C#, Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, relational databases, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise web applications and full‑stack solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for development, architecture, and complex engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable architectures, APIs, services, and components using modern technologies.
• Develop front‑end and back‑end components with languages like C#, Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Lead development using Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and related technologies.
• Oversee security controls, RBAC, and access management within applications.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code/design reviews, and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
