Job summary

GitLab seeks a Senior Corporate Security Engineer to secure our endpoint fleet in a fully remote environment. You’ll influence architecture, automate deployments, and drive scalable security controls across macOS and other platforms, integrating with IaC and GitOps workflows.

You will collaborate across IT and Security Ops, strengthening telemetry, detections, and response, while mentoring engineers and guiding complex security challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering endpoint, systems, or corporate security solutions with scalable controls.
• Deep knowledge of endpoint management platforms (Jamf Pro or FleetDM), especially for macOS environments.
• Strong hands-on ability with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, including module design and pipeline deployment.
• Experience with GitOps workflows using Git repositories, merge requests, and automated pipelines.
• Scripting or programming skills for automation and security tooling (bash, Python, PowerShell, Go).
• Familiarity with cloud identity providers and directories (Okta, Google Workspace, LDAP).
• Strong communication and ability to work across distributed teams in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the security architecture of GitLab's endpoint fleet with a focus on macOS.
• Design and support automation for secure endpoint deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Manage endpoint and SaaS security configuration through Terraform, version control, CI pipelines, and automated rollouts.
• Define and enforce security baselines across multiple OSes (macOS, iOS, Windows, Linux).
• Develop patching and software distribution approaches aligned with security and compliance needs.
• Collaborate with IT, Security Operations, and Detection/Response teams to improve telemetry, detections, and response.
• Drive automation and auditable change management to reduce manual work and risk.
• Mentor engineers and serve as a senior escalation point for endpoint security issues.
