Frontier AI Lab is seeking a Senior Electronics Quality Engineer for remote engagement. You will review PCB CAM and Gerber data, perform IPC-610/IPC-620 inspections, and contribute to high-quality input for AI model training.

The role emphasizes defect analysis in SMT/AOI, counterfeit screening per AS6081, advanced semiconductor checks with C-SAM and X-ray, and clear reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requires extensive electronics QA experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electronics quality, CAM engineering, or failure analysis.
• Experience with PCB assembly, wire harness, or semiconductor packaging.
• Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-620 criteria.
• Familiarity with counterfeit component screening per AS6081.

Responsibilities

• Review PCB CAM and Gerber files for manufacturability and quality.
• Perform IPC-610 and IPC-620 visual inspections and provide feedback.
• Analyze SMT and AOI defect types and root causes of AOI false calls.
• Apply AS6081 counterfeit part detection for risk mitigation.
• Conduct semiconductor package inspections using C-SAM and X-ray imaging.
• Prepare concise reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate to refine workflows and improve AI training datasets.
