Job summary

Nbutexas seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead accurate, competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects. You will work with project managers, engineers, customers, vendors, and subs throughout the bid process.

The role manages estimates from takeoff to bid handoff, evaluates risks, prepares scope documentation, and coordinates estimating resources. Independent work and deadline-driven performance are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical estimating practices and pricing.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, specs, bid documents.
• Experience with large-scale and smaller electrical projects.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in bid environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete cost estimates from takeoff through final bid handoff with PMs.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to define project scope.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor costs.
• Prepare estimates for change orders and scope revisions.
• Attend pre-bid and scope-review meetings as needed.
• Prepare detailed scope letters, clarifications, and proposals.
• Solicit pricing from vendors and subs.
• Communicate scope and estimating issues with project teams.
• Assess risks, labor requirements, and schedule constraints.
• Coordinate and support other estimators on complex bids.
• Maintain organized estimating files and bid records.
