Job summary

Intone Inc is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a remote contract (4–6 months). You will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support data analytics and the evolving data platform.

Responsibilities include building ETL pipelines with Matillion, managing Snowflake data warehousing, writing advanced SQL, and ensuring data quality for cross-functional teams. The role demands strong communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in a Data Engineering role designing and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Proficiency with Snowflake, Matillion, Alteryx, and Tableau or equivalent ETL/RDBMS tools.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries, joins, and aggregations.
• Hands-on experience with data validation, quality, and cleansing procedures.
• Experience building dashboards/visualizations with Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Utilize Snowflake for data warehousing, including modeling, schema design, and optimization.
• Implement ETL pipelines with Matillion to integrate and load data into Snowflake.
• Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and reporting; optimize performance.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing procedures.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to meet data requirements.
• Investigate and resolve data issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and architecture.
