Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data infrastructure powering analytics and data science initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams to build scalable pipelines and strengthen data governance across the organization.

This remote role is US-based with a salary range of $120,000 to $145,000 per year. You will evaluate emerging technologies and help shape enterprise-wide data integration strategies while driving automation and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala and expert-level SQL.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience designing large-scale data warehousing and data modeling.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize complex data pipelines using SQL, ETL tools, and integration technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable analytics and data science initiatives
• Lead process improvements including automation and scalability of data infrastructure
• Evaluate emerging data technologies to inform data integration strategies
• Lead technical discovery, defining requirements and mapping detailed scenarios
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
