YipitData is hiring for a Data Specialist role. This remote-friendly position can sit in NYC or anywhere in the United States, with 90+ data team members and opportunities to advance through internal promotions.

You will own high-impact data products, work with massive data, and help answer clients' questions by building data feeds and reports. The role emphasizes ownership, rigorous analysis, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

• Strong ownership mentality and drive to ship high-impact data products.
• Excellent attention to detail and methodical problem-solving ability.
• Clear communication, both oral and written, with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment to improve products and pipelines.
• Interest in learning SQL, PySpark, and Python through formal training.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary owner of high impact work, building data products end-to-end and managing data ingestion pipelines.
• Work with large data sets to answer client questions and derive insights using proprietary methods.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to identify key questions and deliver data feeds or reports.
• Improve products, pipelines, or feeds by developing new methodologies and scaling new datasets.
• Learn or strengthen SQL and Python skills through a two-month training program.
