Job summary

Virtual Staff 365 is seeking a Senior Data & AI Engineer to architect and build a complex, multi-platform intelligence system from the ground up. You will design data pipelines and secure LLM-driven workflows, integrating Claude, OpenAI, and RAG pipelines while ensuring traceability to sources.

The role emphasizes deep data privacy, governance, and the ability to work hands-on with architecture and coding across Microsoft 365/Asana ecosystems. Remote, international hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive, hands-on experience in Data Engineering, including ETL/ELT, managing APIs, extracting data from CRMs, and cleaning unstructured data
• Proven track record in Systems Architecture, designing isolated multi-tenant databases with strict security/governance
• Production-level experience building and deploying LLM applications (Claude, OpenAI) or RAG/agent-like workflows
• Deep understanding of data privacy laws, PII minimisation and auditable data practices
• Ability to move between high-level architecture and hands-on coding daily

Responsibilities

• Architecture and design of secure, multi-tenant intelligence architecture from scratch
• Own data pipelines from ingestion to final LLM integrations
• Review designs, identify gaps, and shape long-term tech roadmap
• Partner with leadership to ensure safe and scalable approaches
