Job summary

Intelligent Technical Solutions seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Compliance Consultant (Security Advisor) to serve as the designated vCISO for a portfolio of client organizations. The role combines hands-on compliance delivery with client relationship ownership, risk management, and ongoing security advisory work.

The candidate will lead CMMC readiness engagements, advise on NIST SP 800-171/53, HIPAA/HITECH, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and other frameworks, while coordinating with engineers, SOC personnel, and

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years in information security with 3+ years delivering compliance or vCISO engagements
• Experience delivering multiple regulatory frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, CMMC, etc.)
• Ability to defend deliverables to auditors/assessors
• U.S. person status and US-based remote with travel availability

Responsibilities

• Act as vCISO for a portfolio of client engagements; lead recurring meetings and provide updates and metrics
• Advise on CMMC readiness, DFARS/NIST obligations, and enclave architectures including MS GCC High
• Deliver compliance engagements across HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GLBA, ISO/IEC 27001/27002, NIST CSF 2.0, 800-53, CIS Controls
• Map control sets across frameworks to avoid duplicate evidence collection for clients
• Oversee risk assessments, data collection, and remediation actions with client IT teams
• Support incident response activities, PSAs, and templates improvement
• Maintain accurate PSA time entries and contribute to knowledge base
• Stay current on emerging threats and regulatory changes affecting clients
