Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Operations Analyst to monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats in a fast-paced environment. You will correlate alerts, apply behavior-based detection, and support escalation workflows across technologies including SOARs, SIEMs, cloud, and endpoints.

Qualifications

• Experience in SOC monitoring and response.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for a team of analysts in 24/7 monitoring.
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including off-hours rotations.
• Act as escalation point for SOC operations and identify automation opportunities.
• Develop detections aligned with MITRE ATT&CK and enhance via automation/AI.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to improve AI models used in SOC operations.
• Review reports from tabletop exercises, vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to drive improvements.
