Job summary

SAIC’s Contracts & Procurement team seeks an experienced Contracts Senior Manager to lead cradle-to-grave contracting activities for the Civilian Business Group. The role focuses on growth, streamlining execution, and enterprise performance, serving as a trusted advisor to market and finance leaders.

The position reports to the CBG Contracts and Procurement VP and may be remote anywhere in the US. Strong collaboration with senior leaders and governance compliance are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with strong business acumen and compliance understanding.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field and 18+ years of experience, or a Masters and 16+ years of experience, or a PhD or JD and 13+ years of experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in contracts and procurement, including high-complexity/high-value contracts.
• Experience with CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FPI, and FFP contracts, and FAR/DFARS knowledge.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with executives and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with government procurement regulations (CPSR, TINA, CAS).
• Proficiency in Costpoint or similar procurement systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Collaboration with Market Leaders, Account Leaders, and finance teams.
• Leading Contract Administration: review, negotiate, and execute contracts aligned with FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Strategic Proposal Leadership for high-visibility proposals as Book Boss and senior reviews.
• Executive-Level Communication with management and external stakeholders.
• Overseeing complex negotiations with government and commercial clients.
• Analyze financial impacts and contract risk; provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure governance and compliance with government contract requirements and agency supplements.
• Manage subcontractor relationships throughout the program lifecycle.
• Mentor team members across contracts and procurement disciplines.
