Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to lead threat hunting, vulnerability analysis, and remediation across a multi-cloud environment. You will work with AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, using Qualys and Tenable to identify and remediate risks, while developing detection rules and hunt playbooks.

Strong collaboration with engineers and ISSOs/ISSMs is essential. Remote work within the United States is supported, with standard EST hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years in information security or equivalent combination.
• Hands-on cloud security across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Ability to author detection logic and hunt playbooks.
• Strong communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive threat hunts across AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI.
• Analyze cloud telemetry and SIEM data to investigate activity.
• Manage Qualys and Tenable scanning across tenants.
• Remediate threats and misconfigurations with engineering teams.
• Develop and tune detection rules and automated hunts.
• Mentor junior security engineers and support incident response.
