Job summary

Smile Digital Health in the United States is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-hosted services for our SaaS platform. You will own deployment artifacts, HELM charts, container configurations, and IaC, collaborating with platform, security, and architecture teams.

The role emphasizes scalable, reliable, and secure deployments across multi‑cloud environments, using Kubernetes/OpenShift, serverless components with AWS CDK, and robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional cloud development or infra engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or related field.
• Experience designing SaaS apps and multi-cloud solutions.
• Hands-on with DevOps tooling including GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native REST APIs.
• Manage Docker images and Helm charts.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Monitor performance, reliability, and scaling of services.
• Develop serverless components with AWS CDK, Lambda, API Gateway.
• Ensure high availability and security alignment.
• Collaborate with security, operations, and infra teams.
• Document architecture and deployment procedures.
