Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to help build out an Azure environment that is still early, giving you real influence over its development. You will own infrastructure provisioning, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, networking, and governance to support internal teams deploying to Azure securely.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cloud infrastructure or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience is required.
• Deep Terraform production experience.
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking and cloud security.
• Familiar with Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault and private connectivity.
• Ability to work independently and make infra decisions.
• Excellent communication with developers and non‑infra teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and IaC.
• Create reusable Terraform modules and standardized deployment patterns.
• Design and maintain Azure landing zones, subscriptions, naming, tagging and policies.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Design Azure networking including VNets, DNS, routing, private endpoints, firewalls and load balancing.
• Implement Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault and least-privilege access.
• Support Azure SQL and other cloud services.
• Improve monitoring, logging, backup, recovery and infra change tracking.
• Automate repetitive infra tasks with PowerShell, Python or Azure CLI.
• Collaborate with developers to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure.
• Help establish Azure environments for AI, automation and analytics initiatives.
