Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale AWS-based infrastructure for a healthcare credentialing platform. The role blends cloud engineering with systems administration across Windows, Linux, and on-prem Nutanix, plus container platforms (Rancher and ECS Anywhere).

The position is remote but requires residence in select states; you will own SMTP relay, SSL/TLS certificate management, and compliance with HITRUST and SOC 2.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or sys admin.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and on-prem Nutanix.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Run container workloads on ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments, including AD, DNS/DHCP, IIS, and on-prem Nutanix.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure and SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and on-call support; assist HITRUST/SOC2 compliance.
