Job summary

SCS Global Services in the United States is seeking a Senior Assurance Manager for SCS Standards & Assurance Systems. You will lead development and oversight of assurance frameworks, ensure compliance with international best practices, and guide certification and chain-of-custody initiatives.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in conformity assessment (ISO/IEC 17065/17021) and 8+ years in certification, auditing, or assurance systems, with strong writing and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in certification, auditing, assurance systems, standards development, conformity assessment, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise with ISO/IEC 17065 and/or ISO/IEC 17021.
• Significant experience working with voluntary sustainability standards and certification programs.
• Experience developing, implementing, managing, or auditing chain of custody systems.
• Strong understanding of certification body operations, audit processes, and accreditation frameworks.
• Outstanding technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and revision of assurance systems.
• Serve as internal SME on assurance and conformity assessment.
• Oversee performance evaluations of certification bodies.
• Ensure alignment with international conformity and accreditation.
• Evaluate new methodologies and audit approaches.
• Support development of new certification and verification programs.
