Job summary

TekStream Solutions is seeking a Back Senior Application Security Engineer to lead security remediation and governance for our clients. The role focuses on guiding developers, enforcing secure coding, and applying SAST/DAST to validate fixes across CI/CD pipelines, while supporting security reviews and architecture assessments.

You will drive vulnerability remediation, track progress, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote US-based environment that accommodates Pacific time work

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including common threats and vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency in software development, preferably in a Microsoft .NET/C# code base.
• Familiarity with testing tools and techniques for both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience with SAST/DAST/Secrets tools (GitGuardian, Veracode, SonarQube, Qualys DAST, Wiz).
• Languages: .NET, C#.

Responsibilities

• Guide and assist development personnel in understanding security vulnerabilities and remediation options.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure adherence to security best practices during development cycles.
• Utilize SAST and DAST tools for thorough security testing and validation of remediation efforts.
• Recommend efficient solutions for fixes to streamline the remediation process.
• Build out capabilities of the DevSecOps Team and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate manual processes to improve development workflow efficiency.
• Analyze findings from penetration tests and propose concrete remediation tasks.
• Support assigned teams with the technical aspects of remediation.
• Monitor and track progress on remediation tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Review FP submissions with guidance and documentation.
• Evaluate Risk Acceptance Requests and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Participate in architecture reviews of security products and architectures.
• Support security assessments including scoping, report reviews, and remediation planning.
• Research and recommend optimization opportunities related to processes and tools.
