Job summary
Maximus is seeking a Senior Administrator - Appeals to support California Independent Medical Review (CA IMR) team. This fully remote role analyzes and enters medical case information, reviews documentation for accuracy, and supports the independent medical review process.
It offers team collaboration, flexible scheduling, training, and company-provided equipment. Preferred candidates have healthcare experience, strong analytical abilities, and excellent written/verbal communication.
Qualifications
- Associate degree with 2 years experience; or HS Diploma/GED with 4 years experience.
- Proficient in computer usage and daily operation of web-based applications.
- 2 years experience in healthcare, medical office administration, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Maintain updated knowledge of project and corporate policies and procedures.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in one or more process areas.
- Analyze data submitted for Independent Medical Review.
- Collect and analyze incoming data and reports from providers, facilities, participants, labs and health plans to input into the system.
- Respond to calls from clients, health plans, providers and enrollees regarding case status and appeals process.
