Job summary

Figma is hiring a Security Scientist to leverage data analysis skills and drive security improvements across the product, platform, and IT systems. You will partner with Security Engineering and other teams to focus on systemic security, risk reduction, and design reviews.

The role is full-time and can be based in US hubs or remote within the United States, with responsibilities spanning investigations, threat intel translation, and actionable detections.

Qualifications

• Fluency in SQL and proficiency in Python, R, or a similar scripting language.
• Experience with distributed data processing systems and frameworks such as Hive, Redshift, Presto, Snowflake, or Spark.
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand security and anti-abuse problems and work with engineering, product, data science, and other teams on solutions.
• Understand attacker and user behavior on the platform and guide strategy through new datasets, metrics, experiments, and analysis.
• Build detections, tune signal quality, and measure coverage across products and internal systems.
