Job summary

Coterie Insurance is hiring a Security Engineer for a 100% remote role. You will join a Security team focused on identity, access, and security operations, reporting to the Principal Security Architect.

The role emphasizes access reviews, evidence collection for audits, and hands-on endpoint privilege management. You’ll help respond to security alerts, run phishing simulations, and continuously improve security programs while collaborating with IT ops, engineering, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in security operations or related technical role.
• Experience with cloud-native enterprise services and IAM concepts (least privilege, RBAC).
• Hands-on with privileged access management and endpoint privilege management.

Responsibilities

• Run recurring user access reviews and certify access.
• Gather evidence for compliance testing and audits.
• Administer privileged access management with focus on endpoint privilege management.
• Support Azure PIM role assignments and recertifications.
• Triage security alerts from SIEM and endpoint tooling.
• Run and report on phishing simulations and security awareness.
• Maintain procedures for access reviews and related workflows.
• Surface improvement ideas for programs and processes.
• Collaborate with IT ops, engineering, and compliance to close gaps.
