Job summary

Synthesia is expanding its Infosec team and seeking a Security Engineer (L6) to strengthen our cloud security posture. You will own security improvements across AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, plus develop detections, playbooks, and tooling. Remote-friendly US roles are encouraged.

We value hands-on engineers with a builder mindset, 5+ years of security experience in cloud-first environments, and a passion for automation and secure-by-default platform patterns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on security engineering in a cloud-first SaaS environment.
• Experience in fast-growing startups/scale-ups and SaaS.
• Proficiency in cloud security (AWS/GCP), IAM, networking, logging.

Responsibilities

• Build and own technical security improvements across cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Design, implement, and iterate on detection and response capabilities (SIEM, EDR/MDR, CNAPP).
• Hunt, investigate, and respond to security alerts end-to-end; write tooling and detection logic.
• Build internal security tooling and automations (IaC, scripts, integrations).
