Job summary

Colorado Connections Academy seeks a certified Secondary Social Studies Teacher to deliver online instruction from Englewood, CO. You will manage asynchronous and synchronous sessions, grade work, and communicate with learning coaches to support students across K-12.

You’ll collaborate with families and staff to tailor Personal Learning Plans, participate in field trips and state testing, and help recruit new students while maintaining records and schedules.

Qualifications

• Colorado Secondary Social Studies certification is required.
• Strong technology skills, esp. MS Office.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Willingness to travel for events (occasional).
• Ability to work remotely and some evenings.
• Must have a personal device and email for two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction to students.
• Complete grading, progress reports, and parent conferences.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students, and teachers to update learning plans.
• Develop knowledge of K-12 curriculum and grade-specific standards.
• Support students and parents with assignments and enrichment activities.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and communications.
• Collaborate with staff to create enrichment activities and field trips.
• Organize and participate in state testing and recruiting events.
• Contribute to field trips and community activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
