Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead IT projects in a remote, contract-to-hire role. You will drive SAP-based OTC enhancements, manage backlogs, and guide delivery across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.

Strong communication and risk management are essential for success. The position requires 7+ years of IT project management experience, SAP exposure, and familiarity with security/compliance.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of IT project management experience.
• Previous SAP project management experience with SAP integrations.
• Experience supporting security, compliance, and identity/access management.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries preferred.
• Experience with Jira or similar Agile lifecycle tools preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SAP OTC, RTR, PTP, and PTD teams to define and manage backlog, priorities, dependencies, timelines, and delivery plans.
• Establish and manage project plans across schedule, cost, scope, quality, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Coordinate activities across matrixed teams using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches as appropriate.
• Identify dependencies across workstreams, determine critical path, and communicate key tasks and milestones.
• Identify variances to plan and develop mitigation or corrective action plans with project team members.
• Monitor deliverables against approved scope, schedule, and budget, and escalate concerns with impact statements and options.
• Identify, document, communicate, and manage risks throughout the lifecycle, securing stakeholder alignment on responses.
• Engage stakeholders at the appropriate level and cadence to enable timely decisions and issue resolution.
• Tailor communications to audience needs and synthesize information into concise, actionable updates.
• Maintain accurate artifacts including status reports, RAID logs, schedules, forecasts, decision logs, change requests, and communication plans.
• Record and monitor actuals and forecasts against budget, escalating budget risks and financial impacts as needed.
• Recommend process adjustments when appropriate and gain consensus from stakeholders.
• Leverage best practices, technical knowledge, and organizational awareness to mitigate risks and improve outcomes.
• Mentor others on project management methods, practices, and tools, and seek opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness.
