CFD Research Corporation is seeking senior rotorcraft design experts to support Army AvMC by applying advanced tools and developing new methods for conceptual and detailed design. You will participate in multidisciplinary trades studies and cost/performance estimation to guide requirements and concept viability.

You will lead technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in conceptual rotorcraft design and cost/performance estimation.
• MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience using NDARC and AIDEN for aircraft design and performance estimation.

Responsibilities

• Represent CD&A as SME at meetings, reviews, and tests.
• Advise leadership on strategic planning and tool development for new concepts.
• Use NDARC for detailed modeling and performance assessment.
• Perform trade studies with customers to explore requirements and impacts.
• Guide formulation of trade studies with stakeholders.
• Support long-term planning and strategic direction for projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
