Job summary

Centene Corp. is seeking a Nurse Leader to supervise Prior Authorization, Concurrent Review, Retrospective Review and Appeals teams from a remote location, while the candidate resides in Oklahoma with an active RN license.

The role requires weekend on-call availability and UM experience, plus strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication, and solid organizational abilities to drive quality and efficiency in utilization management.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oklahoma (or compact state) required.
• Bachelor's degree or nursing degree with 4+ years in UM.
• Experience in utilization management and on-call coverage on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and tracks UM resources to ensure adherence to standards.
• Collaborates with UM team to resolve complex care member issues.
• Maintains knowledge of regulations, accreditation standards and best practices.
• Identifies opportunities for process and quality improvements within UM.
• Educates and provides resources for UM team to facilitate communication.
• Monitors UM activities and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Works with senior management to develop and implement UM policies.
• Evaluates UM team performance and provides feedback.
