Job summary

MLH in Memphis seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care guided by the nursing process and the MLH Mission, Vision and Values. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and leadership in clinical settings.

You'll assess patients, develop care plans, coordinate with physicians, educate families, and ensure safe implementation of orders. Requires 5–7 years RN experience and TN RN license with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Required - Associates Degree Nursing
• Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Nursing
• Required - Registered Nurse 5-7 years
• Required - BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
• Required - Registered Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Analytical skills necessary to assess complex patient conditions and develop care plans.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities across care teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides Practice Excellence through specialized nursing assessment, care, evaluation and education to patients and families in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Promotes evidence-based practice by using research to develop, implement and evaluate process standards, such as plans of care, protocols and guidelines.

• Analyze incoming patient information and determine the appropriate plan of care in accordance with protocols.
• Coordinate patient needs and possible escalation of treatment with physicians and patients when changes in patient conditions are present.
• Communicate with patients regarding their health status and provide education, coaching, and guidance as recommended by the ordering physician.
• Responsible for the implementation of orders provided by the physician.
• Compile summaries of patient status and data over the course of monitoring.
• Provide detailed correspondence and communication with physicians on patient progress.
