Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a registered nurse for a remote program focused on guidance and education for members across the continuum of care. This role emphasizes direct patient contact, education, and high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities include addressing medical questions, following up on authorizations, and directing members to appropriate internal programs while using nursing judgment in diverse scenarios.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• 4+ years of acute nursing experience as an RN.
• 2+ years of case management experience.
• Med-surg, critical care and/or ER experience.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Outlook).
• Proven ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a frontline resource for members with medical/health questions.
• Own issues through resolution with the member, including timely follow-up.
• Educate members on healthcare decision-making and available programs.
• Document interactions across databases during and after calls.
• Collaborate with peers and managers to improve service model performance.
