Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an experienced Risk Adjustment Coding Auditor for a 100% remote contract role (approx. 5 months). The position supports a healthcare organization in HCC coding, risk adjustment auditing, and regulatory compliance, with production-oriented expectations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in the field, strong HCC coding and audit experience, and CRC certification. This remote role operates under a first-shift schedule with eligibility for remote work nationwide within approved

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of HCC coding experience with inpatient/outpatient guidelines.
• 5+ years of Risk Adjustment audit experience.
• 1+ year in a production-based environment.
• CRC certification in good standing.
• Working knowledge of Medicare, ACA Commercial, Medicaid risk adjustment models.
• Experience communicating findings to stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Audit risk adjustment codes for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with guidelines.
• Perform retrospective and prospective medical record reviews.
• Validate diagnosis coding based on documentation and CMS-HCC requirements.
• Identify coding/documentation gaps affecting risk reports.
• Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Provide written/verbal feedback on errors and trends.
• Support audits, production goals, and special projects.
• Act as SME on risk adjustment coding and audit practices.
• Meet audit deliverable timelines and quality standards.
