Job summary

Tailscale is seeking a Revenue Compensation Analyst to own end-to-end commission processes and audits, partnering with Revenue Leadership on design and quotas. The role balances operational rigor with strategic problem solving to ensure accurate, timely pay and scalable compensation programs.

You will model plan economics, support annual planning, and deliver analytics to improve performance and alignment with company growth. Remote-first environment with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years in Sales Compensation, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Finance, or Strategic Operations
  • Experience administering variable compensation in a high-growth SaaS/tech company
  • Strong understanding of sales comp principles, quota methodology, and GTM models
  • Hands-on with compensation platforms such as CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Everstage, Forma.ai, Spiff
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets for complex modeling and scenario analysis
  • Strong Salesforce knowledge and cross-functional collaboration with Payroll/Finance

Responsibilities

  • Own Revenue Compensation Operations, including end-to-end commission process and audits
  • Partner on compensation strategy, model plan economics, and annual planning
  • Deliver analytics on attainment, payouts, and spend; build scenario models
  • Support Go-to-Market org with compensation questions and letters
  • Improve systems and processes; automate data flows and integrate Salesforce, payroll, and HRIS
