Element Solutions is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain RESTful API integrations across applications, platforms, and data systems. Work involves data mapping, JSON/XML handling, and ensuring secure, scalable communications.

You will collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver reliable integrations and support production deployments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Associates degree plus two years' experience.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in systems integration, API development, application development, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing, implementing, and supporting RESTful API integrations.
• Strong understanding of REST principles, HTTP methods, status codes, request and response structures, and API design concepts.
• Experience working with JSON and other structured data formats, including XML where applicable.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI tools, or comparable technologies.
• Understanding of API authentication and authorization methods, including OAuth 2.0, API keys, or token-based authentication.
• Experience diagnosing integration failures, validating data exchanges, and resolving technical issues across connected systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage assigned integration tasks independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams.
• Must live in the Continental US.
• Be either a US citizen or Permanent Resident due to the work we do.
• Depending on agency requirements, you may need to possess or obtain a Public Trust designation or security clearance.

• API Development and Integration: Design, develop, implement, and maintain integrations between applications, services, databases, and external systems using RESTful APIs.
• API Testing and Troubleshooting: Develop and execute integration tests; use Postman/Swagger/OpenAPI to validate requests, responses, and error handling.
• Security and Performance: Implement API authentication/authorization, secure data transmission, and monitor performance for reliability and scalability.
• Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain API specs, integration workflows, and troubleshooting docs; collaborate across teams.
• Deployment and Support: Participate in deployment activities, support ongoing integrations, and resolve interface dependencies.
